Passed the Chevron station on Airline and Cleary and I noticed Guillory's has taken over the space next door where the bubble tea place used to be. They still have the original, somewhat invisible location a couple of blocks away on a backstreet.
Guillory's is a pretty good lunch spot - hot tamales, fried chicken, boudin balls, meat pies, poboys (including a hot tamale poboy) and lots of other stuff. They should do well with their new visibility.

Nice plug Mr. Guillory.

The secluded location does a great business. Packed every time I go, and very popular with those who live in the area.
Seems odd that they would open another location in such close proximity.
