Man the cops up there scare me so bad. I was always terrified of getting pulled over for some BS reason and getting popped for some borderline DUI. They also roadblock like crazy up there.

I'd much rather go out in NOLA where the cops are chill as frick and you'd basically have to run over a pedestrian to risk getting a DUI. I don't consider going out on the NS worth it if you're having more than a single drink.

bro OT doesn't do dinner dates. They do things like bowling, crossfit, hiking, etc.

You've got 33K posts. If you want real answers go to the FDB. If you want jokes this was an appropriate place.

Turkey hit it on the head here...

One more suggestion: dinner and a movie? Movie Tavern. Good food, alcohol, movie and comfy seating all in one place.

Pardos or Gallaghers. Both killer. Upscale food, but casual dress. Most entrees 22$ and up

The Lakehouse
Ceasar's Italian
Gallagher's

Skip Dakota's, while good, not worth the money in my opinion.

Friends in Madisonville for sunset /apps / drinks. Then move over to Movie Tavern. if things go well, move to downtown Covington and continue at the Southern Hotel and/or Taproom.

I was assuming this was either a first date or a date with someone you're not too serious with which is why I stayed away from "nicer" places.

Del Porto in downtown Covington would be my recommendation, but you probably will need a reservation

Nuvolari's in old Mandeville would be good, probably don't need a reservation, cool bar, can also walk to Barley after for more drinks
