I'm wanting to try and make Sangria for a party, have found recipes online but I have not tried any yet. Has anyone ever made it before and it's been successful? I have a nice glass drink dispenser I want to put it in with some fruit etc to make it pretty also. I'm thinking of using Pinot as the wine.

My wife makes one that is nowhere near traditional, but everyone raves about it.

It involves blackberry merlot, sprite, pineapple chunks and whatever other fruit you want to put in it.

made some one time that had rum in it, along with the wine and other stuff ... think i had to slice some fruit real thin, soak it in sugar water, then combine it with the wine and some rum ... if yours has rum, you'd best be careful ... it will frik you up before you know it ...

I had to go back 5 or 6 pages to find it and it was easier for me because I knew what I was looking for. The search function works for some things and sucks for others. Shame.
