If you're looking for a brunch, Red Gravy is on Camp Street, on the other side of Canal. They have the best meatballs, if you like family style Italian. Their food is all very fresh and the pasta, sausages and cheeses are all made at the restaurant.
eta: Just saw on their website they'll be closed from Sept 6-15.
If you're looking for a breakfast restaurant though, try Stanley. It's in Jackson Square, on Chartres and St. Ann.
Another good breakfast can be found at La Petite Amelie, at 900 Royal. It's a satellite of Café Amelie, which is at 912 Royal and also very good.

Ate at Revolution in the Royal Sonesta and the Steak was AWESOME! Great service and cool décor.
