I'm having a craving for chicken andouille gumbo and am crossing my fingers that there's someplace out here with good andouille. Any recommendations? If that doesn't exist what is your favorite store bought one?

I'll agree with Ronnie's. Work in Covington, live in Ponchatoula. Only place I know of that has good andouille in the area. Just picked some up a few weeks ago for a turkey and andouille gumbo.

ronnies for homemade
Richards is ok for store bought
for gumbo I'd just go with storebought unless you feel like driving

in which case you'll want to get some hoghead cheese and smoked boudin also while you are there
