What is the consensus on this place? Must haves? Things to avoid? What's the dress?

Bail.

IT was good when it opened with Jimmy Conwell in kitchen. Since then it has lost a bunch of chefs (not abnormal), the GM and more. Its high priced food where there are 4 of five better options within a 5 block or so radius.

The last time I was there was the night we got engaged about 3 years ago, and it was AWESOME. Great meal.

You really have no idea how to dress to go out to a nice dinner?

yes i do. I've been to many nice places in Nola and everywhere else. Many times the dress at a "fancy" place was more lax than others. It's more like saying do i need a tie? etc. I'll wear that i normally wear which is slacks and a sport coat. I was asking to be concious of it is all since I had never been to the damn place.
