I'm hoping some of you can help me. I've seen people wear thick rubber gloves when washing and prepping crawfish for the boil. I'd like to get a pair or two. Can any of you help with the name of what these gloves? Also, do you know where they can be purchased?

Thanks in advance!

Dude, throw them in a large tub and fill tub with water. Wait a few minutes. Use the sack as a strainer to drain the water out. Not sure what other "prepping" you have to do.

when cleaning i just fish them out by hand and throw em in another bucket when changing out the water. i might get caught 2 or 3 times but it aint bad.

This round I'm boiling for 75 people at work. Want to make sure there's no bait or other trash in there

Well if you want to do it the hard way, just get some of these rubber gloves.

FWIW, i had some of these gloves i used for grabbing meat off the smoker until one day, i found the gloves under the sink (where i never put them). MY suspicion is the cleaning lady used them to clean the house, so i had to throw them away.

My uncle will just put his damn hand in the ice chest and sift them around when we are hosing them down. He never gets pinched somehow. I'm not so brave. I usually use the big slotted ladel / spoon that came with my pot to sift them around or a smaller pot from the kitchen.

Gloves wouldn't be a bad idea.

When you take a bath or a shower, do you just sit still and hope the water does the work?

Am I get the crawfish ready for a fricking date? No

If I was planning on dropping a human in boiling water to fricking eat I wouldnt worry about scrubbing him behind the ears first

I really don't like dirty crawfish. It's fine that you do.

Then drop them in clean water and drain.

They will be plenty clean

I clean them until the water runs clear. One little rinse just doesn't cut it for me. Again, personal preference.

You compared cleaning crawfish to how a human showers

But I think you understood the reference. I agitate them when I'm washing them too. See a washing machine if you didn't like my original example.
