You only have to leave a wing on or the head to avoid a citation. I have given away lots of fish and lots of ducks...and they have always been cleaned.

While I agree it came off as ungrateful, answer one question. Would you drop a box of fish that needed to be cleaned to somebody?

Did it Monday with twenty speckled trout and five redfish. My wife and I caught forty trout and seven redfish Sunday at Hopedale. Cleaned two redfish and cooked, cleaned twenty specs and froze and gave the rest to a friend down the street. They cleaned and were very grateful and about twenty minutes ago brought my ice chest back and had a cup of coffee with me. No complaints and if they did I would just pass their house and give the bounty to their next door neighbor who would love it and not complain.

You got one thing right. Wing is all you need to leave to determine the species.

Apparently you have no friends that hunt or fish or at least friends that hunt or fish and share with you. That must suck.

Why not just take the extra five minutes and finish cleaning the fish? All your shite is dirty already.

I have friends that hunt and fish, and I hunt and fish. The only fish people give me is from offshore trips because I don't get to go out much. They bring packaged meat, not whole fish.

No need to be a cock.

Well you have been a cock with very little to contribute for one thousand nine hundred and eighty seven posts.

I'm just reciprocating.

Why don't I just cook the fish or duck for them? Fix some sides to go with it? Bring the wine? Clean the dishes when they are done?

Why not take the extra five minutes to clean the fish? Well first if you can clean twenty plus fish in five minutes I'm impressed. Second I had carpool, a business to run, email to answer, FD board to lurk, bills to pay, grass to cut, phone calls to make, dinner to cook, wine to drink, watch As The World Turns reruns, feed the animals, help with homework, wash clothes, fill out 940 and 941's , pay taxes, move the Elfs on the Shelves, gas up the car, explain to my wife again exactly why she married me, put out more Christmas lights so we can keep up with the neighbors and take a shite.

Glad you aren't my neighbor. To high maintenance.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will come up with something good. I do have several friends that give me wild game frequently. I generally will share what I cook with them as well. I just don't hunt or fish - was not brought up doing it and am now too old to learn. I can cook though!

This friend has brought me fish and venison several times, but already cleaned and processed.

Thanks again for the suggestions. I will let y'all know how it turns out.

Merry Christmas!

When you find out what kind of ducks they are, post what they are. We'll be better help then.

The most interesting man in the world would make a turducken... with a duck inside a turkey inside a chicken back inside the original duck.

Nope. And as you know, I can clean 20 trout in 5 minutes with little problem...or I could just clean half and quit...because I'm lazy.
