French Bread in BR

My wife is in Baton Rouge this weekend and would like her to bring some French bread back for poboys. Is real French bread available in BR? If so, where can you get it? Thanks!

South side produce stand has some out of Lafayette or bet r grocery has Wayne's French bread

Calvin's and Frais Marche carry Leidenheimer's and Poupart Bakery.

If by "real", you mean the authentic New Orleans french bread, Calandro's Perkins carries Leidenheimer and Alexander's Highland carries Reising. I see these at those stores pretty regularly. Other stores carry those brands as well. I know I have bought Leidenheimer at Winn-Dixie before.
The only thing is that I'm pretty sure they aren't making daily deliveries, probably more like a couple times a week. So it isn't always fresh, especially on the weekends. I always have to press on the bread a little to gauge the freshness.
