So I've wanted to drink these side by side for a long time to really just be able to articulate just how different they are. Both stouts, but decidedly different takes on the style. Both are so tasty
Nice. I love them both, but never had them side by side.

FBD- Almanac Farmers Reserve #4. Delicious. Still haven't had a bad beer from them.
I didn't like their Biere de Chocolate, but other than that they've been stellar.
Blackwells has some Dogpatch Sour in. I'm debating whether or not I should order some.

It's pretty fun, Kim. I love flights and doing beers side by side like this. It really makes you appreciate their differences, especially two of the same style. Even more so when they are on completely different ends of the spectrum of that style. Except maybe DIPA. A malty DIPA

I love them both very much. Plus for TF since it's in a can. Plus for BS since it will be here on the 21st. Tie goes to the runner.

FandonlyBD is some Slam. Last one of the sixer but with a 12/20/13 bottling date had to drink these quick. Glad I got to try it but not worth the price tag. Better DIPAs out there

In the second half of each I added just a taste of bourbon to see how the flavors would take. As expected, FBS was a real bomb. Really messed with the flavors, and not favorably. Really muted the coffee notes. But Ten FIDY just ramped up to a whole different level. A little taste is all it takes, but wow!

What bourbon?
Ehhhhh, some shitty Buffalo Trace I'm trying to get rid of. I really don't like it. I bought it during the "ice storm" because it was all that was on the shelf at the Rouse's I went to. Besides Jim Beam. It's too damn sweet.

Meeting me at NOLA tomorrow. Apparently she's bringing her friend too. I can't deal. I dunno how I'm gonna entertain two older (than me, theyre not OLD) women that don't drink beer at NOLA brewery.
