How about that Hibiscus Canebrake? Would anybody even order that and admit it, now?

Thanks for sharing that thread.

I only discovered the FBD threads about 6 months ago. I was like wtf?!?! These are my people, I'm home.

Man you're missing out. Wish you would of tried it. I think Old Rail is a hidden gem that needs its time to shine.

One thing I notice looking back at old threads is that nobody used the upvote/downvote. Can't remember when that became an option

I think about 2 years ago. I almost gave you an up vote for the nostalgia.

And what happened to LL?

Question for everyone. What has had a bigger impact on you? The improvement in the local beers (Parish, GR, SoPro), or the beers that have started distro in LA (Founders, Bells, Oskar Blues, Elysian, etc...)?

Over the last few years, the distro brews have had an enormous impact, but the ascension of locals has had an even greater one, for me. I used to have a want to drink locals, but the quality of our options was so limited. But the revolution has begun. I can only hope that some day this place looks like your hood, Jax.

FBD is a Canebrake due to lack of options.

In the old days, we would have disqualified that as not allowable. 1 bottle = 1 BD...

Even in the last year (new Envie recipe last fall, now DH) and more Ghost availability (brewed more often in larger quantities) Louisiana has stepped it up -- that couple with people wanting LA beer for their local GOATs will result in higher quality brews here. I remember going to Avenue Pub and being jacked up they had Hopitulas and West Coast IPA on tap. Come a long way.

Next up for me is an EZ7 can back at the house:
