SBD is FBD with a splash of boiled custard. You don't win them all, and this is a shining example of that philosophy.

I could go for a beer right now, but I'll probably just stay dry until tomorrow. Picked up some nice things at the store today, though. Hop Ranch is back.

I all too often decide to put things in beer just to see. Some things work such as citrus zest to liven up an old IPA, while things like boiled custard in an imperial stout don't work out as well as I had hoped.

Have you ever had boiled custard? It's basically melted ice cream. I thought the combo sounded good on paper as I've made many a stout beer floats, but this combo tonight did not work.
