FBD to close out a nice weekend. Coffee faded but it's still a world class brew.

I thought normal markup was 2.5x-3x at bars over retail.

There is no markup at most places in Portland. They combine bottle shops with taprooms. There are a lot of places that sell beer by the pint or growler that have coolers that you can pull beer or a sixer out of the cooler to drink and pay the same that you would pay at the grocery store for the same thing. The worst thing I've seen is that some places will charge you a capping fee of $1 or $1.50 for a bottle that you buy and drink on site, but there are places that don't charge a capping fee.

I don't know if the liquor licenses allow for this in LA, but if someone opened a place with that kind of model, I'm sure they would do well. The nice thing about it is that you can try a beer at the taproom before deciding if you want to buy a sixer to take home.

I know there are wine places like that in NOLA. Should be beer places. I should never pay $26 for Black Crack. I know I did it willingly and knew the price, but damn.

FBD. Finished installing this guy just in time for football season.

Oh and it's viewable from the pool, hot tub, and grill.

Avenue marks it up a lot more than Stein's for sure when it comes to bottles. Bottles are usually $5-$10 more than Stein's from what I've seen.

Nice, hope the project goes well. My patio was just finished. Been waiting for this setup since I bought the place 2 years ago. Good feeling to have it done.

Must be nice having a brewery in the neighborhood.

I might be done for the night.

Yeah the tap room is sweet but all the rumors about the brewmaster are true so you have to deal with that
