I had a couple Crowd Control drafts at The Chimes earlier with clients after a closing. 3BD back home is a DDH Envie.

You got the wrong baw here. I don't chase beer down. I simply drive 3.2 miles and purchase it.

Can they make another batch of Bloom like this one is the question...... the DDH Envie is growing on me, but the GITM is nothing but a drain pour.

Allegedly the variation in this batch of Ghost is attributable to the house yeast having essentially evolved. As a result, Andrew thinks it's floccing harder, which is making it different. That would make sense, but others I've talked to (that know more than I do) speculate that it's a water issue as well.

Allegedly Bloom uses the same strain as "old" Ghost, which would explain the similarities there. I realize this probably begs more questions than I have answers for, but that's what I've been told.

Now I'm gonna go back to my Devil's Harvest and let you baws keep trolling.

Is it a house strain they harvest from each batch or how does that work?

NBD is a Live Oak Hefe. These have grown on me:

Holy shite you poured it out. I agree with you though and mentioned it Saturday night. I was stunned when I took the first sip. Almost like they went wet hop.

i'm with Unc on this one, this batch of Ghost is fricking awful, all booze no nose i just dont understand why they have to mess with the once great beer. Every batch since July has been arse
probably coincidence but ghost hasn't been the same since they started brewing opus vert. My very first though after my first sip of bloom was "this reminds me of how ghost used to taste". RIP ol' juice bomb, you had a good run.

Andrew is notoriously tight-lipped about information he deems secretive; as such, he shares very little. But yes, at this point what he has more or less confirmed is that he is using the same (house) strain for multiple generations.

But I don't think it's like Lagunitas where pretty much everything uses the same yeast. That is conjecture on my part, however. I can't really confirm that.

Yessir. I have way too much booze in this house to drink stuff that's not enjoyable.

That was the clearest Ghost I have ever seen. I've never seen the other side of the glass looking through any I have poured.

You must have gotten the watered down batch. A sucker is born every day.
