Are you sure you didn't accidentally get a pour of Abrasive?

I didn't make GRD unfortunately. Speaking about drinking bottles over the weekend.

1. Bloom
2. Grapefruit Envie
3. DDH Envie. This is like a dry champagne.

I agree, the new batch of Ghost threw me off. First I thought it was an old keg someone had pulled out the back. Reminded me a lot of Pliny that I didn't care for either.

ETA: Check out this guy on Instagram. Hilarious

You going to the Brightside 2.0 release? Looks like they are well on their way to canning.

So now Pliny sucks too? Holy moly. I guess everyone has their own opinion. More Ghost for me then.

Gonna try. May have some family obligations that pull me away though.

For those of you who attended GRD...

How would rank the new releases?

None of these were anything short of very good, but here's my rankings from what I tasted, even though most of this is splitting hairs.

Bloom (outstanding....my new favorite, wish I bought more)
Maple Shade
DDH Envie
Blood Orange Envie
Opus
Grapefruit Envie (this and blood orange were very fruit-forward in taste but really refreshing, wish it were more subdued)
Vanilla Bean GR
Flora
Glass Houses
BB GR 14 (this tasted more boozy than I recall)

FBD was a Darkest Before Dawn at CP2.

NBD is an Envie (regular, still cool if I drink the regular?)

Funny to hear all the opinions about the Parish beers. Different palates. Different times in the day of drinking.

My take was I liked Opus a lot more than I thought I might. Bloom is excellent. GITM was a bit of a letdown for me, but still not bad at all.

Honestly of the "new" stuff at Parish, I was really only disappointed by the Flora Genesis. But it still wasn't a drain pour.

This is the perfect explanation for what I was trying to say last night. Lots of burning alcohol.

I only went to pick up the beers I ordered ahead of time, so I didn't get to try any of the cask or on-site only beers. I grabbed 3 4-packs each of DDH Envie, Bloom, GITM, and Reve. Also 4 GR bottles.

Y'all have to be drinking a different beer than I was. I'm sensitive to that kind of stuff, and got nothing of the sort. Drank a Surly Abrasive last week that screamed burning alcohol, but didn't get that at all from Ghost on tap or in the bottles I bought.

Crazy, I really dug both sours. The color of Glass Houses was incredible. I would buy both sours, if they started bottling them, in a heartbeat. And I'm not a big sour fan.
