Tell that to Great Raft. They love their bombers.

I can tell they love their labels very much.

GR would never stoop so low to slap a label on a blank can. That would be egregious!

Word. Just laughing at a kolsch in a bomber -- the style deserves to be packaged in 12 oz cans

That's good, but if they plan to eventually sell it in cans, why can't they release the first batch in cans?

How do other breweries afford to can one offs and first batch beers? School me, please.

Taking a break from yardwork to brown some pork steaks.

Canned last week. Fresh Art Car is quite nice.

Here you go, straight from the GR website

quote:

Why not can it then? Great question. This beer would be great in a 16 oz can, 19 oz stove pipe or 32oz tall boy. Hard to argue that. A lot of our beers would be great in a can, but we are holding off on that for a while given the high cost of cans and our tendency to changes things from time to time. For now, enjoy this beer fresh and dream about the days of dry hopped lager(ish) beer in a can.

I kinda respect that. It's no different than what parish did with ghost at first (I know different styles) but you test the market, read responses and adjust.

Rolling at the canning line for a shelf turd would make your brewery look terrible.
