I know I've asked before, but I can't remember. Have you tried Adam from the Wood?

Yes. Adam, Adam from the Wood, and Cherry Adam from the Wood.

All of them great beers. I think I like Adam from the Wood, most. It's the hardest to find. You pretty much have to be at HotD when they release them.

They've only bottled it once or twice. Twice I think... ?

I'd kill for a bottle. One of my favorite styles.

Did not mean to minimize the bummer of the ribs, but you drank some damn fine beers.

Pretty sure it's only available on site at the brewery. No growler fills. I'm sure Jax can correct me if I'm wrong.

The answer is, yes. I can go get a bottle of it tomorrow, but I would have to drink it on site. I think the only beer they are selling that I can take off-site is Bourbon Fred.

Hair of the Dog is probably my least favorite of the better brewers in Portland. They have shitty hours and the people they have working there aren't very friendly, IMO.

That being said, they do have some outstanding events where they sell bottles for off-site consumption. I haven't been to one of those, yet, though. I just go drink them at the brewpub.

I drank a bottle of Adam from the Wood last week....compliments of his Emissariness. I had no idea it was so rare. I didn't think it tasted all that special.

8th year could tell me that he was drinking beer that was barrel-aged in same cask that originally held wine for the last supper.....and I'd be inclined to believe him

You're correct. They sell vintage bottles on-site, but they cap them there.

They always have "from the wood" beers on tap, but it's a crap shoot as to what it will be on any given day.

You can get a growler of their regular beers, like regular Adam, but not of their growlers.

For you to get a bottle of the Adam from the Wood, you will have to come to Portland or trade for it with someone who has one.

Where are you located?
