I'm a glassware freak. Not even just for beer. I have several different shapes of wine glasses.. Cocktail glasses.. Etc. I've had to be stopped from buying more lately. Next on the list is coupe glasses.

My preferred glass for beer is stemmed, but I'll drink out of anything I have around.

Got hungry. Then was driving through strip mall Hell and remembered I had an Outback gift card some uncle pawned off on me in lieu of a real gift. Figured I would stop in for a free lunch. Only local beer they have in SW 420, so..

DEAD. DEAD. I just told you to go there a few days ago. I actually laughed out loud. 10/10

FBD Liquid Lunch

This is kinda bad. Nose gives you that peanut buttery goodness with just a hint of jam and is really intriguing. The flavor is initially exactly what you'd expect, but the finish is rough. Blah.

I saw Mexican Cake got an overrated vote so whoever thinks that will get a kick out of this: BBA Mexican Cake was released today in 8 oz bottles at $8 per. I cannot help but imagine how good that $16 pint must taste.

Lagunitas Citrusensis

Damn dat nose. Smells like a DIPA. Taste almost delivers, a citrus explosion with almost nonexistent bitterness. Does have a very Lagunitas finish, but that's expected at this point.

FBD: Homebrewed American Barleywine... Coming along quite nicely, but still needs a little more age.

Isnt this just their pale ale with blood orange juice added?

I thought the nose and flavor were great, but there was a 'sourish' note in the finish that I didn't really care for.

That's a great deal. What'd you think of batch 2?

I'm most likely not having anything tonight.

...which would seem to support my thoughts. It's absolutely not a DIPA -- it lacks the hop bite one would expect from a DIPA while still possessing wonderful citrus depth. I don't feel like it's particularly sour on the back end, maybe a hint, but it's hardly off-putting for me.
