I had a friend that makes sales calls in the area pick some up for me. The limit that day was 4 cans of Julius, he got 2 for himself and 2 for me. If I make the 2.5 hour drive out there, I'm bringing a non drinker with me to be able to get max quantities to make it some what worthwhile

Man I would love to make a trip to treehouse in the near future, but it's pretty unrealistic seeing myself making a trip that far if that's a typical day as far as limits on beer.
You don't go just for Tree House, dude. There are a ton of breweries in the region that make amazing beer. You show up at Tree House and get your cans, plus whatever your friends get, then you hit Trillium, plus you probably already hit the NY breweries, then you hit all the stuff in VT...plus you stop and have good beers at the plethora of good beer bars in the region. And you ship beer home. That's exactly what I'm doing at the end of the month. If I get 20 cans at Tree House I'll be ridiculously excited. That alone is gonna weigh down my suitcase.

yeah, I didn't mean I would literally take a trip just for tree house. obviously i would make stops at other places while I was there. I guess it's just crazy to think about how limited some of their beers are. As anther person stated, they live a couple hours away, and even then it's difficult to justify making that drive for such a limited amount.
And even if I could convince a couple people to take a trip, on what is essentially a really long and expensive beer run, all of my friends drink and would want some as well. Maybe i can convince my mom to go or something
I'll make the trip eventually, I'm sure. I would love to find someone willing to trade, but I'm just not familiar with what group(s) would be best for trying to find someone to trade with. Plus, as good as Straight to Ale and Good People brews are/can be, I don't see many people clamoring at the opportunity to trade julius for GP's or StA's readily available brews.
good luck on your trip, by the way. I'm sure if you make a couple stops at tree house while there you can pull off 20 cans

You might be surprised. People who have regular access to great beers want to try something else. You might have to do a 2-1 trade, or some such thing. You can get other beers down that way, though, right? Jai Alai? Dankasauras?
