While working on some wedding gifts. I have no idea how I get involved with this shite.

Ha I do actually. I can't take it ask to NYC.
We can still run into each other randomly. It'll just be really infrequent

Jay: I'm really enjoying it too.

Jones brought the 4pack in from Galveston. Not too much longer I'll have that luxury!

It's not earth-shattering, but I'm a real fan. I was in the mood for something that wasn't a completely dry hop bomb and it's perfect. I'll save you one.

So no IPA has ever changed after 5 weeks? Good to know. No reason to be a dick.

Not sure why my question was even an issue in the first place, to be honest. It was a simple question to ask if Ghost had changed any, as I had just sent a couple out. Not a big deal.

I agree. I knew what you are asking. You were asking how it is drinking now.

If I gave you an ipa you've never had and asked how many weeks out from being bottles it was, you would have no clue.

Of course beers change over 5 weeks. All beers do, not just IPAs. You asked how it's drinking, as if it's already faded. There may be a slight, and I emphasize slight, change in the nose, but I doubt you'd pick that up unless you became very familiar with it immediately after bottling.

Furthermore, because citra is the prevalent hop variety, it should hold up even longer. It's been my experience that citra holds up very well.

I agree, obviously.

You assumed I thought it had faded. In reality, I asked because I sent it to a buddy and hoped that it was still as fantastic as the first time I had it. Personally, there are IPAs I've had (Jai Alai) that I felt were noticeably different after a month or two. I could have been wrong, though.

Just read about this, too. I love citra-hopped beers. Thanks for the info.

Yep, I agree with what he was asking.

6BD: Double Jack

Close call, but I think I like DJ better than Ghost. This one is about 2 weeks older than the Ghost I had earlier.

NBD is a Creature Comforts Tropicália IPA. Nice and juicy. Guessing Mosaic hops in this one.

2 of my favorite DIPAs. We are talking degrees of greatness. The latest batch of Ghost though--damn.

Exactly. I judge them on what they were trying to accomplish....not all DIPAS are set out to achieve the same things...I drink them all and let the good Lord sort out the rankings.
