Incredible IPA

Is that with Simcoe and Citra hops? I had just mentioned in a post yesterday that Simcoe and Citra were probably my favorite hops.

that bad? I love their beer but Parish loves to over carbonate there brews. Farmhouse and Dr Hop are prime examples.

FBD: Has a sweet....flat cheery coke flavor going on. Not a thick, syrupy chocolate stout as I had expected. Mediocre beer from this Oregon brewery.

That Farmhouse with the chinook hops is freaking amazing. Is that what is in the new batch of bottles? I never minded the over carbonation in the farmhouse, it was a welcome nuisance.

Not sure if it wasn't just that keg of the stout that had the problem. I don't remember it being that foamy at GR Day, but a lot of the stuff was in pitchers. The stout is impressive even with the large head.

Lots of Simcoe for sure. Missing the heavy dose of citra though.

Yep, he nailed this batch. I didn't try it at GRD (had the peach one), but opened a bottle last night. The aroma hit me as soon as I opened it.

Yeah, it was foamy at GRD too, thus the pitchers. But it's still great.

Yeah, you don't see me drinking a lot of Bridgeport stuff. They are one of the older breweries, and haven't kept up with the times. They do have some good IPAs, and their Bridgeport IPA was generally considered to be the beer that sparked the NW IPA trend in the early 90's. Even their IPAs don't stand up well to the competition, these days...
