5BD: Latonia Amber

By far the best beer at this brewery. Very good.

Verdict, BigErn?

2BD Finally getting around to trying this one. It's pretty damn close to regular Sculpin in my rankings. I dig this a lot.

I like it better than regular Sculpin.

I do too. I agree that they're similar, but the slight edge *goes to Grapefruit for me.

No BDs. Just woke up. I managed to come down with a horrible fever and then break it within 2.5 hours.

I'm on the fence right now, but it's really close. Definitely got more of the juice to it! I'll catch them side-by-side one day and make sure of my view. In the name of science.

At the risk of being crude, I will venture that these hoppy burps are GD citrus delicious.

3BD the color immediately turned me off -- when I see an IPA with that amber color it generally turns out to be heavy on the malt side. This actually isn't overpoweringly so, but there's a touch more malt on the initial taste than what I'd like. Finishes pretty bitter, though, so that helps.

That is usually the case.

Yep, I liked that one too. A touch on the malty side for my tastes, but I enjoyed it. Certainly a nice change of pace from the ordinary stuff.

only b d / Peg's Cantina & Brew Pub Pallet 2

Imperial stout aged on a blend of Prichard's whiskey barrels: single malt whiskey, rye whiskey and Tennessee whiskey. Holy frick. I had never even heard of this, a buddy in Tampa just put me together random box of local stuff. This beer is nuts good. One of the best barrel aged stouts I've ever had. On the same tier as BCS and KBS. Wish he would have sent more. He did also send a Rare Dos which upon research is quality as well. Will let that one get a little age before opening.

6BD: LaCumbre Red Ryeot

This is a great, hoppy laced red ale. This brewery needs to expand to the great state of TX, and the even greater state of Louisiana.

Solid use of the word "laced" there. And a quality backdoor kick in the shins to our neighbors to the west. Top notch posting rc03.
