FBD will be a Ghost at the source as soon as I can get off.

Maybe grab a crowler of that Strawberry 'brake for my old lady.

Are they supposed to be bottling strawberry canebrake eventually?

Also, someone tell me if I got screwed here. Went to my go to spot for beer, and they just had KBS chilling on the shelves like any other beer. I bought a 4 pack and it was $21.99 is that normal price for 4?

FBD with Black Creek 2 Year Cheddar on Jewish Rye

Followed by Ford Farm Smoked Seaside Cheddar with raspberry merlot pepper jelly on the same rye. Smells like a damn campfire. Tastes pretty good, though.

I figure that everyone has at least one style they can't get a taste for. It's wheat for me.

I can't imagine a more vile beer than an Imperial Wheat.

You say that...this tastes like straight up grapefruit juice. The description intrigued me, so I grabbed it.

quote:

3 Citrus Peel Out is an Imperial Wheat Ale brewed with blood orange juice, tangerine and grapefruit peels. 3 Citrus Peel Out is the newest in the company’s seasonal Imperial Series. It features an 8.5% ABV, a grain bill consisting of 35% wheat, CTZ & Mosaic hops and a walloping amount of citrus. Over four and a half pounds of tangerine & grapefruit peel per barrel accompany tropical flavors from Mosaic hops and an added boost of blood orange juice during fermentation. This refreshing brew sits around 30 IBU and its nice citrus pith complements the bitterness. Residual sweetness helps accentuate the fruity character and masks the 8.5% ABV well.

I'm not saying it's amazing, but it tastes nothing like a wheat ale normally tastes. Honestly I'd want to drink this before work with a healthy breakfast. Too bad it's 8.5%

NO8 said he grabbed the last 2 4 packs at the source yesterday afternoon. Any word on when the next release will be? Gonna try and make it over there and visit a buddy.
