FWIW for bar food Bulldog will do the trick. Just remember its bar food, and not some pseudo "upscale bar food" you find a lot around H-town (as an example). ETA: Also while BB as a beer spot is shite, if you're just chilling with friends on the balcony its nice IMO.

kfizz right / the BD isn't terrible bar food like Balcony is. turbodog chicken sandwich is righteous if you're starving and drunk and won't destroy your stomach.

I would try Basin Seafood but that's mostly because it just opened and you could be a guinea pig.

I honestly don't know but since its NOLA and they served boiled seafood a HIGHLY doubt it unless you're rocking a wife beater and jorts. eta: Tell them you're a food critic for a website called "TD.com" and write reviews in the dining guide and see what happens.
