It is not a drain pour, but it is definitely mediocre. I just wonder why they changed the recipe after the awesomeness of early 2016. Surely it had to be to cut cost on this beer because it is far off from what it was earlier.

Word is that the DDH Envie will rotate different hops. This one is galaxy. I hope Bloom becomes a regular because it is great. It is a smooth, juicy IPA and is right in my wheelhouse.

Yeah, bloom looks like the new ghost. Bottle is really cool as well

Bloom is like the single IPA version of the juicy Ghost.

I am going to rebel against this. Bloom is not Ghost. Bloom is a different beer insofar as it is much more delicate than Ghost. I was legitimately shocked when I tasted it -- Andrew has never made a beer that was so delicately soft before. It's pillowy and light, and yet it delivers tons of flavor. It has a very distinct texture that honestly reminded me most of Hill Farmstead IPAs. It has the same flavor profile as Ghost, old Ghost, but there's something different going on there. It could be primacy speaking, but this batch of Bloom is better than any batch of Ghost we have had in the past year.

I have had one taster pour at the brewery of Bloom and I think Andrew legitimately broke the game open. Now. I reserve the right to retract that statement. I have bottles to enjoy over the next few days. But to me, Bloom is special.

And here comes Brgetthenet to post that stupid arse picture

The lacing was fine I guess

Keeping it going here, gotta swap over for two weeks of nights starting tomorrow. Might as well enjoy myself.

Luckily the fam is in town and I will be able to see them before work Thursday

Yeezy, you've got a point with the delicateness. It's so mild, but it's almost got the nose and the cloudiness of the juice bomb Ghost.

Opus never had the nose that Ghost did, but the Bloom has that characteristic.

Next up is an Alpha King by Three Floyds muled by LCTigerr. We are spoiled, not very impressed by this or Zombie Dust, but someone must drink them:
