Honestly, it's better than last year's version. Not quite as Jolly-Rancher-soda as it was then. But there's still some noticeable watermelon flavor and aroma. Good beer to drink after cutting the grass, by the pool, and outdoor activities in the heat. I probably would enjoy it less drinking it inside or at a restaurant/bar.

My thoughts as well. Good if you're outside in the heat, a very refreshing beer. I also found that I enjoyed it more after it warmed a little, and it had a distinguishable bad bitterness when it was ice cold. Once it warmed up I enjoyed it more.

If you see a Rogue Double Chocolate Stout, get it. Good stuff.

And I hate to say that because I've heard that Rogue treats their workers like shite.

I know someone who frequents this thread has tried the tin root watermelon wheat... How was it?

I didn't have last year's, but I had one this year's and hated it. Tetu'd it after a few sips.

Oh a new liquor shop just opened up Monday in Dutchtown behind the Popeye's, called Hokus Pokus. You live in Ascension, right? Get off at the Pville/Geismar exit and go right, it's right off of the interstate. I want to check it out but haven't had time yet. The other location in Alexandria has craft brews, so I assume this one does too.

You can also get Brash Smoglifter from Harvest Market in Dutchtown right now.

Well I don't know what they do or don't have. You may have had to make a trip to BR anyway for all I know, but if you check out Hokus Pokus LMK what it's like in there.

The Alexandria location is very mediocre. Granted, it is in Alexandria so you can't expect much.
