I was told Lazy Magnolia will no longer make Southern Gentleman because of the whiskey barrels. Either hard to find or cost.... I actually like Southern Gentleman

Coffee Porter rather than brown ale. The peppers aren't repulsive to me like some beers I have had (think it was the Stone). Just a little hit when going down and some lingering spicyness. The oak flavor is there as it warms up, and the cocao is present the whole time. This beer should get more respect than it does, I think the previous mello joy beer they brewed made people think twice about buying this. Will be getting another bottle or two of this when I get a chance.
