Not going to be drinking beer today.. haven't had any since Sunday, but was waiting on a to-go order @ Saltine for lunch and saw they had Crooked Letter Gypsy IPA on tap. I had only ever drank it out the bottle and thought it was pretty terrible. Had to get a 7 oz. pour to see if it was any better fresh on draft.
And it really wasn't. Too sweet, too malty, and flat piney hops that don't dance at all.

Yeah I had it out of the bottle looking for something different while in Picayune for thanksgiving. certainly wasnt all that great.

I like Yellow Rose. Excellent nose. However, after initial taste...seems a bit watered-down. LaCumbre is a better all-around balanced IPA.
Still enjoyed a growler of YR for New Year's, though.
FBD: Prairie Hoppy Farmhouse
2BD: Smutty-nose IPA. You were right about this one. Decent, but not outstanding like its BeerAdvocate rating. Yellow Rose is better.

Meh. I've never had one that wasn't under-carbonated. If that's intentional, it's not my favorite.
Haven't had a beer since NYE. Might need to change that tonight.

I did. they had them last night but i skipped. Not sure I really want to drop whatever they're asking for such a small bottle.
