Jesus.

Bottled 2/3/15. It's hard to find a consistently fresh IPA here at the regular grocery stores, but Lagunitas always manages to do it.

You teach at an inner city public?

It's something I thought about looking into. I'm not in things for the money so to speak, just seems like it would be something I'd be good at.

Sorry for the /hijack

No beer for me but may have one later for dinner.

I agree. I also won't buy bottles/cans from breweries that don't date their shite.

For that reason, the IPAs I buy locally are almost always draught, with a couple of exceptions. Even then, I try to drink at places that I know have a high turnover and won't tap a keg of old IPA.

Even in my BXN's, I send mainly growlers, these days for IPAs - again, with a few exceptions. It does put pressure on the receiver to drink the beer quickly, but nobody has complained about that, yet.

Apparently I teach in the burbs now, or so says ru. That white flight! You should give it a shot. Super lax on drug testing

It's rewarding work. Today I probably spent half the day just occupying a classroom, not really teaching. That's really frustrating. I hate when I have to spend my time managing behavior. It's almost March. You know the expectations. But it's also their first day back from break so I'll cut them some slack.

Jax, for IPAs of that quality I don't think any of us have a problem jumping on that ASAP

Cool... Yeah I'm not worried about drug test more like my past being arrested for drugs. Been nearly a decade now.

Just got a text from a friend so it's almost guaranteed now I'll be drinking later

I don't think you understand how desperate this city is for teachers

It's not a job just anyone can do, but if you truly love it then you absolutely have the ability to learn to do it well. But that's the thing -- while you theoretically could learn to do it, most don't have the desire or patience to put up with the bullshite.

I'll wait on the, "They hired that drunk yeezy" jokes.

Well better than when I get the "they hired that convict" only have ever been arrested for simple possession of small amounts of controlled substances and dwi. Not some hardened threatening convict at least

And I know I have the patience for it and suspect I have the passion. I enjoy talking, listening to, and mentoring youth. Also a fan of knowledge.

Sorry for the hijack. I'll yall get to drinking.

Not drinking yet but I went to my cellar and collected a few cases to sale and grabbed a 4 pack of bcbs to drink. Well when I got out of the car at my house and started to walk in the bottom fell out of the four pack. This is 09,10,11, and 12 all gone. It was the last 09 and 10 that I had. Oh well, I have sold some of my bottles really quickly so there is that I guess...

Damn, that sucks. I know they were going to a good home...

ETA: See that you were going to drink, not sell those. Still hate to see that. What doesn't this ever happen to your second tier beers?

What is that mess? No way that is all beer?
Did it fall in snow or something? Just doesn't look right at all

Probably very cold, and the beer froze before 8YS could take a picture. Looks like it's been swept into a pile, too.

We got 10" of snow this weekend so some of it got mixed in while I was sweeping it up in my driveway. It made a pretty big mess. None of the bottles bounced, they just all shattered. It sucks but 09 was past its prime anyhow and well I will say the same about 2010. I was carrying a 12 bottle shipper of bombers at the same time as this so if one had to break...Of course the shipper has a bunch of BA beers I am selling and the bcbs i was gonna drink

Here is the original mess as I stood there in disbelief
