Mosquito Cafe is good. Good selection, neat place. In the East End Historical district. 14th Street.

I don't really know any places but one restaurant we went to cooked our fish for us. We caught some nice specs and took them there around 4pm. Went to our condo, took a shower, went back at 6pm and they had cleaned them and started cooking for us. Like six different ways. Pretty cool and the food was good.

I'll try to find out the name. Had a couple good Mexican places too.

Gorditas on seawall east if you want real mexican not tex-mexfood,a great little joint and GOOOOOOOOD!!
Hands down our favorite there is Paco and Rudys downtown. Beware on the waterfront, there are a lot of the "landry's" chain by other names, not good but there is one Pier 21 or something right on the harbour downtown that IS good.

This was the place that did the fish for us.

And I remember Gorditas. Very good call.

NOT a fan of Galveston but have had to go each summer for the last three for a conference and we did find the Hotel Galvez as well as Tremont House to be good places and those two resturants as well.

I've only been there one time in my life. Brother in law has a condo there. Caught some big trout. But not in a hurry to go back.

The Spot on the seawall is owned by an LSU guy and the food is pretty good. Great atmosphere.

I'll second Mosquito Cafe, add Eat Cetera to that list as well.
