Will be staying downtown Dallas tomorrow. Will be looking for lunch and dinner spot recommendations. Looking for a couple of casual spots, nothing to fancy. TIA

My favorite downtown restaurant is Dakota's on Akard Street.

What the hell happened to Zappa? Looks like he hasn't posted since early october.

Not trying to hijack, he'd provide input too.

I will ad Tei-An and CBD Provisions for the pig head carnitas. And since the weather is so nice, check out AT&T plaza which is a new public outdoor space with some restaurants and a beer garden. It's at Commerce and Akard and is nice to grab a beer and sit outside and people watch. Lots of hot girls taking instagram pics when I was there.

They aren't as good as they were a couple of years ago. Last few times I've gone has been mediocre. If we are venturing out of downtown then Khao Noodle Shop on Bryan st. Is incredible Laotian food. Everytime I eat there it's like a revelatory tastebudgasm.

That's the spot I mentioned earlier in the new AT&T plaza.

Guy at the hotel is not recommending Pecan Lodge and is saying they have gone downhill. Says we should check out Lockharts instead. Thoughts?
