Best stop is better cracklins

Dons is better boudin

Crabmeat stuffed bell peppers, Stuffed jalapeño's, Stuffed pork and chickens. very good stuff.

Both almost always have a decent crowd so they're obviously doing something right

They just opened a Billy's right there at that exit as well. That's my favorite boudin. Cracklins...meh...but the boudin is awesome, if you like yours with a little spice.

Is Billy's also the place on krotz springs?

I've heard good things if so

It is indeed.

There are three locations. Opelousas on 190, Krotz Springs on 190, and the Scott Exit is the newest one. Their boudin is a freaking work of art. The others just don't have enough spice for my taste.

i feel the same way.

Quality establishment. Best Stop has gone downhill, IMO. If you aren't at the Best Stop by 8 AM, the cracklins tend to be stale and cold.
