been meaning to post this for sometime, but if any of you are fans of Donald Link (or just cook food in general) do yourself a favor and go get his book. I got the book about a month ago and not only are the recipes great, but its also a good read. Link covers a wide range of topics from homemade bacon, deer sausage, and boudin to his granny's smothered pork roast and german chocolate cake. The book is divided into 6 sections:
1. La Vie Cochon
2. From Louisiana Waters
3. Family Gatherings
4. All the Fixins
5. Outdoor Living
6. Louisiana Sweet Tooth
In a very brief time, this book has become my favorite in an extensive collection of cookbooks. If you are looking for a new book to add to your collection; this one is definitely worthy of a spot on your shelf. So far i have made about 6 or 7 things from the book and all of them have been great.

I also got this for Christmas and like it very much. Haven't had a chance to make anything from it yet. Need to remedy that soon.
