Now I'm a big fan of IPA's but let me say this year's 120 tasted like hop flavored turpentine. I'd rather lick a skunk's arse after a month of diarrhea and rotten egg farts than drink another bottle of this shite.....Just my opinion...I could be wrong.

Are you supposed to drink 120 fresh?

It had 4 months in the bottle, would probably be much better a year from now, but I've had other big IPAs that tasted much better fresh than this. Wine and bourbon makers allow their product to age so that when it hits the shelves it is at a flavor that would be pleasing, acceptable and generate repeat business. Paying $10.00 for a 12 ounce bottle of beer that you need to age another year to be palatable is pretty ridiculous.

Haven't had it but a few times. Once really fresh, a couple weeks. It is boozy and fricked up. What do you expect for 18%

The other was a great or two old and still boozy, but way better on flavor.

The bottle I have know will be several years old before I open it.

If they held it for 5 years it would be the price of a good bottle of bourbon. Probably 25 a bottle.

I have never had the urge to try this beer. Too malt heavy like other DFH IPAs.

Yes and this is a year when there is a full production batch on the market. You should have seen how insane bottles were going for the year the dumped a full production batch due to faulty yeast.

It's pretty insane if you don't let it bottle condition for a long time. I'm a much bigger fan of the 90, but Burton Baton is my favorite.

Dogfish Head beers have kind of outlived their usefulness. They were some of the very first high alcohol, ignorantly hoppy IPA's to come out. Nowadays, there are a lot that do what they do only a lot better.

Fresh 90 minute is still a very good beer. Had some a few weeks ago that was about three weeks old. Solid drinker. I like hop bombs just as much as the next maven, but there is something to be said about a good mix of a lot of hops and a decent malt backbone.
