I'll combine threads and say we fridge the soy and the sriracha. We do pull it out while prepping to let it get back near room temp

Just for the record, anything that may or may not be refrigerated, I refrigerate it.

I wouldn't if I was deciding, but the bottle we have is currently in the fridge (not my doing). He refrigerates everything (soy, Worcestershire, ketchup, etc.). I refrigerate nothing.

My husband kept putting it on a shelf I can't reach, so I started refrigerating it.

This site says it's not necessary.

PepperScale

Does Sriracha need to be refrigerated, or is it ok for it to stay in the cupboard, even after it has been opened?

The short answer is no it does not need to be refrigerated, but there are some things to keep in mind that’ll help you understand Sriracha and other hot sauces too.

It does not. I prefer the sauce to be a bit thicker, so that is why I refrigerate it. However, as I understand it, keeping it at room temperature will bring out a bit more flavor/spiciness as it "ages," yes?
