Everything Martini said except the making my own, though now I want to try that. How fast I go through it is directly related to how much bacon grease I have on hand when cooking certain dishes.

I leave the butter out on the counter in a butter dish.
Also don't refrigerate mustard, ketchup or mayonnaise!
