Do rocket pots affect cook time?

Just got a rocket pot for Christmas...since it gets to a boil so much faster. Is it going to affect my cook times on my potatoes etc.?

No, water doesn't boil any hotter just because it comes to a boil faster.

Once the water is boiling it will stay at boiling temperature, 212*F (actually higher with salt and additives, but you get the idea)
So the only thing the rocket pot will do is help you achieve that target water temperature quicker.
The cooking process should remain the same

I went to the hardware store for a pizza stone and saw one of these and was thinking hard about it. I like how the burner is made into the body like that, excellent build quality. I just don't know if one or two boils a year justifies me giving up the old rusted $6 garage sale burner and the pot I always borrow since I don't own one.

i only bought the 100 qt pot that does not have the burner built in
I bought a double jet bayou classic burner instead

yea the hardware store off Millerville has the pots as well as the combo pot\burner
I couldn't justify paying for the combo setup honestly. I think you save about 120.00 - 150.00 by getting the pot separately with a bayou classic burner
