Hello all. Curious as to the boards recommendations for dinner options in OB. It’s been a while since I have been down there. I’ve been looking at Google but trust these fellas more.
Thanks!

Tuna Poke Nacho appetizer
Pecan redfish main

They used to have really good happy hour specials. Not sure if they still do.

I was going to suggest Fisher's, but they closed permanantly and the last day was yesterday.

Wow. I thought the place was great and it seemed like business was good.
Didn’t they own another place back on the Canal Road?

Had an excellent meal at Jesse’s in Magnolia Springs last summer. They have a sister restaurant in Ft. Morgan - Jesse’s on the Bay. Haven’t been yet. Based on my meal at OG Jesse’s, would recommend checking it out. Looks like a short drive from Orange Beach.

Owner committed suicide a few months ago. Playa and Fishers both closed. The dad who owns the Marina is dividing up assets. Wouldn’t be surprised if Chef Briand takes over the restaurant as his own when things hash out.

Steak is about the quality of Texas Roadhouse

Which isnt bad but certainly not worth the hour wait.

If that is the best steakhouse in Alabama then that speaks poorly of Alabama

Our go to is Tin Top

Went there for the first time last November. Everybody loved it and will go back in a couple weeks when we are down there for our Thanksgiving week camping trip at Gulf State Park.

Ate at Original Oyster House in Gulf Shores last week. Everything at our table was excellent. N9 complaints and would gladly go back. All I got.

Tin Top is just about finished building a beautiful new place on the Bon Secour River in the same parking lot as Bon Secour Fisheries. About a quarter mile on the same street as current restaurant.
