I really like the format, the food is normally really good, though normally out of the box. The seating arrangements combines groups to make for friendly dinner. I have enjoyed every dinner I have attended.

Since Dinner Lab got rid of the membership fee, can you just sign up whenever you want to for dinner? And how much is it per person to go?

Paying Members get preferred tickets, I think one week before non paying members. I think paying members get cheaper tickets but I am not positive. Normally tickets are $60, this dinner they are $65. That is the food above, and all you can drink. Normally the alcohol has 3-5 different bottles of wine, 3-4 quality beers and one liquor mixed drink complied by the chief to go with the theme of the dinner. There is no tipping at the meal.

I have always felt like I got my money's worth on a dinner.

Yes and no. I won't be renewing my membership. So far, none of the menus have really been 'wow', and the chefs have all been from down the road. It isn't a horrible deal, but it isn't good enough for me to pay $125 again.

Oh, I meant 'yes and no' to the value.

I'm not going to this one. The menu isn't really anything we can't get at a decent place here in BR, and while I am sure it will be executed well, I just can't justify the $130 for that menu. Not at this point in my life, at least

I do love the idea of Dinner Lab. The location aspect is really exciting. But I'll probably just buy tickets as a non-member for dinners I want to attend after my membership is up.

I can see where Dinner Lab is probably an amazing value in bigger cities (especially northeast) where they can get big chefs coming in.

Will she entertain my other half so I can bring someone who wants to rage?

You should at least give New Orleans a look. Their events are far better than Baton Rouge.

I was disapointed in this dinner. I thought the oysters, beet salad and desert was good. The desert was listed as a dreamsicle, but everyone around me said it reminded them of key lime. The pork was decent but nothing spection, the chicken and dumplings was below par. This is the first dinner that I left still hungry and I am not a big eater. I managed to get pics of the oysters and the beets. The oysters had west indies salad on them, with a little vinegar. It paired very well. I could have eaten 2 dozen of these.

Damn that sucks. That oyster does look really good though. How many did they give you?

The oysters and the salad were the stars by far. I could improve that pork dish and the chicken was lacking all around. Those were some very nice oysters until the redneck got up and started saying #butter about them. Still a good time.
