Going to be in NOLA in about a month, and the wife wants a nice dinner at one of the old standards. Too many to pick from, so I'm open to suggestions from some of you 'regulars'. Thanks in advance, guys.

Eat at Antoines if she wants one of the old line places. Ask for Charles to be your server and tip him a little extra to give you a tour of the place after or before dinner if he has time.
Just get suckered into eating at Brennans.

My first pick would be Arnaud's for the "old standards". Are you averse to going Uptown?

Totally not averse...in fact, I think it'd be great to show her some of the stuff in that part of town.

That opens up a few more possibilities.
Clancy's
Lilette
Gautreau's
Patois-- Great Sunday brunch
Coquette
Bistro Daisy
Vizard's
These are really, really good restaurants. When you decide where you want bump this thread and we can throw out some dishes to try.

Go here - your wife will love it. A big plus is few if any tourists.
