I wanted to get a few recommendations for best dining spots in SD. I'm not looking for a coat and tie place but nice casual would be wonderful. Any help would be appreciated.

Mexican in old town area but you will need a car to get there and it's a little further from downtown area.
Go to Little Italy and they have several really good places, names escape me but it was the best meal I ate in San Diego.
Fish tacos is a must, hotels on the waterfront have outdoor areas and really good food.
Everyone says Gas Lamp district but nothing wowed me. There was a nice little breakfast place and Old Spaghetti Factory.
At Coronado they have some whole in the wall places, pizza and decent sandwich shops if you get over that way.

Public can dine at the Coronado, most places are pricey and you might need reservations.

Second Mexican in Old Town. Best I've ever had.

If you want a fun experience try the Gaslamp Strip Club. The strip is NY Strip. It's a grill your own steak restaurant.
Great atmosphere and just a good time.
