Asking for a friend. Requesting your best recs. Price does not matter. Upscale is fine but not necessary. Any style food is acceptable.

TIA!

Right by the crescent..

Ocean Prime (mid-scale seafood)
Old Warsaw (old school steakhouse)
Trulucks (mid-scale seafood)
Shake Shack (actually in the front lawn of the crescent)

A short walk...

S&D Oyster House (was there long before Uptown was cool)
Dragonfly (neat Asian fusion place at Hotel ZaZa)
Sushi Uchi
Common Table (my favorite burger in Dallas, but can be very loud)

How close? Walking distance? Short Uber ride?

Tei Ann for asian/sushi-Top Restaurant in Dallas
Yutaka for sushi
Crushcraft Thia
Angry Dog for burger (Deep Ellum-shirt Uber ride)
Pecan Lodge barbecue in Deep Ellum
Common Table for craft beer
Proof + Pantry
Fearing's
Mia's for messican (not Mia Coccina's)

ETA: Opening it up a bit

Rapscallion on Lower Greenville or its mother restaurant Boulevardier in Bishop Arts (Oak Cliff).

Nora- upscale Afghan food on lower Greenville

Tacos: El Mariachi (seafood mostly) or just down the street is Trompo. Both are great for lunch.

Both chains very close to hotel. I have had nice meals at each. But wouldn't be first choice if short ride was available. Zappa has some great recs.

Great steaks and the lobster mac n cheese is outstanding. But damn that place is pricey.
