Haven't lived in BR for years but these use to be the best burgers in BR. Coming back for a few days over the holidays and was hoping to hit this food truck up. Did it close down though? Checked their twitter amd nothing recent and the website looked to be out of date. What gives?

If I'm not mistaken he now cooks out of Barcadia by the Varsity.

i never got the appeal. tried them a few times back when the truck was rolling. I didn't see anything special about their burgers.

Well, that's good news.

So many questions. I assume they'll still be behind the food at Barcadia? And same prices?

Barcadia started off with the same prices that the Curbside truck had (~$12-$15 for a burger, depending which one), but no one would pay it. So now their burgers are much more affordable. I wonder if Curbside is going to also use those low prices ... or keep the prices they once had on their truck.

I was wondering the same. Seems like they would be too busy running their own restaurant.

Yeah those prices were high. May be why they went downtown so they could probably get away with that more.

Love that they are trying to include a spot for food trucks to set up shop on Wednesdays.

I don't think they're actually in there cooking. I think they just developed the menu/recipes. I could be wrong though.

This is probably true. I would be willing to bet a lot of people have no idea they do the food at Barcadia and would still pay the high price.

I'm not sure it's ignorance so much as people being willing to pay for convenience.

I don't remember Curbside being that high. Maybe with frites and a drink included.

If the BR locations prices are anything like the one in NOLA, then it's really not that unreasonable considering they come with fries. It's maybe $3 more than you pay for some shitty burger at Applebee's for instance, so I don't really see the issue.

If they didn't include fries, I'd understand.

ETA: BR's website is working fine for me. Here is their menu. All burgers are $9.49 and include fries. There's no way to complain about that

ETA 2: $6 with an LSU ID for the classic. That's a bargain. Where was that when I was at LSU?

The only thing I thought was high on the menu was the chicken wings.

With tax it's $13 for 10 wings.

The burger prices now are really good. $7.50 for the normal burger.

The burgers at Barcadia are legit. I don't remember if it was gig or LL that recommended them to me but

Really underrated considering I don't know anyone that has had them but me

I was talking about their Food Truck website

Those prices are very reasonable. They have went down since the last time I had it.

They were $13-$15 (except the plain cheeseburger) before the changes. The changes are only like 2 months old.

The only burger I ever got from the old Curbside truck was the Repeat Offender and it wasn't cheap, but it was also massive and had to be eaten with a fork
