I had Jays BBQ for lunch but stopped here to meet a friend and have a cold drink since it is 100 degrees. He ordered the fish tacos.

Does it always take this long to get an order? It took 14 minutes to get his tacos. I tasted one and didn't care for it.

I've never been. I can't bring myself to try it either...

Wasn't it started by a disgruntled cousin of the Tony's restaurant/catering empire...?

It's a big old bunch of meh. Think they are trying Canes model with fish. No flavor and the shrimp are tiny. It's a shame because it's a cool building and if the food didn't blow the concept might work.

It's 9-12 bucks for a combo too.

No thinking about it. It's a copy of Cane's almost down to the color scheme, I am shocked they don't have a dog mascot. Todd Graves would probably be pissed if the place wasn't such a failure. I have been three times picking up food and it has never had more than one or two people eating there.

LOL at the down voters in this thread.

The truth hurts.

ETA: Seriously though, dont let this failure keep you from your dream. Most businesses fail. You need to analyze the problems and correct them or go in a different direction.

Good luck!

Yeah I agree. It's a pretty disappointing place. Way too expensive for the quality.

It's not a bad concept, just horrible execution.

Also, no drive thru = failure for that concept

Yeah. I've been twice and actually liked the food, but no way in hell ~$10 reasonable for what you get.

Well if they fried the fish a little lighter, actually heated or cooked the flour tortilla or a thinner one or fresh corn, better size shrimp not fried to death and a better Cole slaw it might work.

I'd like to see it work. The little cilantro mayo isn't bad.

Especially when practically every grocery store in Baton Rouge sells a fried catfish plate lunch for $6-$8.

Agreed. And once again, if they happen to read this post, get a drive thru or you're doomed. (And up the quality just a bit.)

They should just really make that place similar to Tony's and make a killing right there... no one will ever buy a Crispy Catch franchise anyway so stop throwing money at it

When I first read that Tony's people were going to open something there I was excited, hoping for a smaller seafood market. I was pretty disappointed when I saw it was a fast food joint.
