Crawfish Pot Question

aquired a crawfish pot that was apparently not cleaned immediatly after a boil. It is all pitted on the inside. Does this cause any issues other than making the pot look like shite on the inside?

If you have a four inch grinder, go to Lowes or a welding supply store a get a "tiger disc". Picture a flat emory disc, a few minutes will get rid of the pitting.
