On a cold brewed kick right now, but damn it gets expensive.

What ratio are FDBers using and can I reuse the grounds? I'm eyeballing my ratio, but figure I am 1/2-1oz per cup of water.

I just double the amount for a cold brew.

Usually 12 scoops for 12 cups.

Correct. I use double because when I put it in a pitcher full of ice, I obviously don't want it to be watered down. Then I add a cup of 365 organic unsweetened almond milk. Perfection.

Thats about what I am doing right now. I let it sit for 12-18 hours in the fridge before filtering out the solids. Thinking about doing a second run through on the grinds with half the water.

Might end up bad, but I don't see a downside and can always throw it out.

Thanks for info

For this amount do you use a french press?

Yes, and that makes a concentrate, basically, to mix with water or milk to make an iced coffee drink.

That ratio is basically 10 tsp (3 tbsp) for 1 cup water.

1 lb of ground coffee to a batch of water in the filter system for the first run through the systen then refill it to the same level again again run it through again and mix the two batches into one carafe. One 1/4 to 1/2 cup of coffee to water then fill the mug with water and nuke the stuff for a minute.
