wait, they were working out of the place? DAMMIT!! No wonder the wife never let me go eat there alone.

I thought the scandal was just the isolated event I referenced. Didn't know it was a regular thing.

Cafe Lousianne was next to Tj Ribs by the gas station on acadian. They always stayed open late after games which was rare back in the day. It was a tradition to go get a poboy there after losing during the Hallman and Dinardo era. Even some players would show up with their family some nights. They burned down I think and tried to move over to Corporate but it never stuck. Always wondered what those people did.

Manuel and Camille were the original owners I met around 93. They sold the restaurant and the following owner had it when it burnt down and relocated. Manuel and Camille opened Camilles Cafe in Erwinville. Subsequently sold that and bought JOE Dreyfus in Livonia.

Pretty much most of the 90s it was open. I forget when it burned but I'd guess around 97-98 when football took a tumble. They let us play football in the parking lot, gave us tshirts, and even had their own seasoning if I remember before Tony's was on every table in America.

Linnie's Steakhouse....and lot's of LSU football photos and memorabilia on the walls.

That was owned by Linnie Burks and her husband. Parents of

Michael Burks - LSU Guard
Shawn Burks - LSU Linebacker
Todd Burks - LSU Wide Receiver

.....thus the main reason for the LSU football photos.
