Just heard about this yesterday. Am I late to the party on this news? (Searched but "Chimes" is used a lot on this board.)

Will be north of Rainbow GMC on the west side of 190 below the Bogue Falaya bridge.

I have not heard this yet, but that would be great. Where? What location? Not that shopping center where Rouses is located? Not much North of Rainbow, below the bridge, unless they are building it from the ground up....

There is vacant land just south of 21/Boston right there, and it's been listed for a while. Kind of an odd location given how much is available relatively close by, but that's what I heard.

I know where that land is, I think it is waterfront?? Stirling prop. I think it is really expensive land and that is why it has been available forever. Bring it, Chimes would be cool.

It has been in the works for several years, Tim Hood told me last week that it should open in a few months.

So it is going in a building that already exists?

He didn't give me all of the details, but he had just come from Covington and the final bit of bureaucratic BS has just been dealt with that day.

Yes. Heard one of the owners talking about it to a friend at Chimes East a few months back.

I think there might be a structure on that site (possibly a house from way back?), but I'm not sure if it's fit for the purpose.

I'm pretty sure they are building from the ground up. The property is on the river, so I hope they are able to build a large deck to take advantage of the location. They broke ground a couple of months ago, but still looks like they have a lot of work ahead of them.

I was on 190 in Covington the other day and a truck was delivering a door frame that read "Chimes Rest" on it. I did not follow the truck to see where it was going...Anyone have an exact location for this place yet?

The location is next to Annadele's and is next to the old courthouse for the town of Claiborne from way back. The woods have obscured the old structure for years. Should be a great location for a name entity.
