I've heard that, at this time, the Carolina Reaper pepper is the hottest pepper in the world. How many of you have tried this pepper?

I have some hot sauce from our farmers market that is supposedly made with it. It's fricking hot as hell. Like one-drop-is-a-mistake-type hot. More of a novelty item than anything.

I'm keen to try one but the hottest sauce I have ever had is 250k and anything more than a few drops is torture. Can't imagine anything over a million. I really worry it would kill me with my BP.

The guy that has the youtube show Hot Ones ate one and looked like he was miserable.
Given how he regularly beast modes hot sauces that make normal people cry, I'm inclined to think the reaper is some kind of foul, Satanic shite.
My booty don't need none of that feeling the next day. I'm gonna take a hard pass. I fear the reaper.

We can only tell you that it's bad. If you're dead set on it, go for it. Just make damned sure you're prepared (trash can to vomit into, milk and a loaded .45 to ease the pain). Think about all of the zero videos you've seen on the internet where people ate straight reapers and smiled the whole way through.
They're not acting.

I grew some last year and made Chow Chow. I'm not dumb enough to eat one whole.
