In the place of salt, I choose chips and salsa. Call me crazy but salt ruins the tequila for me. And you're a bitch if you have to chase a shot with a lime wedge.

Who's talking about doing shots?

If we're talking about doing shots, it's patron, shaken with ice, straight up.

Has nothing to do with the calories I stopped drinking daquiri type beverages when I was in highschool. I can't handle the hangovers that result from the sugar.

but i freaking love the salt around the rim.

but i also squirt a lime into every mexican beer i drink and sprinkle salt around the rim.

never can have enough salt is my opinion.

nothing about it 'changing' the tequilla, it just goes well with it.

To each their own.

Now I did see someone ask for salt around the side of their corona last week. Salt or no salt, who licks a mexican bottle?

In my experience the ones that do this use triple sec instead of a nicer Orange Liquor, so its not as sweet naturally. I prefer a better liquor and moderate tequila any day in my marg over better tequila with triple sec.
